Carolina Energy Solutions has all your Field Machining solutions. From coast to coast, our top of the line personnel have repaired existing facilities and raised new plants from the ground up. We have the capabilities to handle everything from boiler stub removal to nuclear main steam generator replacement. Our highly trained staff of experienced field managers and machinist are the best in the power industry. Although CES has successfully serviced many diverse types of power facilities, our experience, know-how and ingenuity can compliment many other industries as well. Carolina Energy’s field machining department is committed to bringing our customers unsurpassed service to meet all their machining needs.

Looking for ways to make difficult projects more efficient, CES tackles known "slow spots" that are encountered in the field, by reproducing certain tasks in our shop. These mock ups are very useful and enable the customer to come in and see what we are doing, working with us in producing methods of streamlining their outages.

Carolina Energy Solutions successfully provided machining and welding services for the replacement of the 5A & 5B feed water heaters at Progress Energy's Brunswick Nuclear Plant during the Unit 1 refueling outage in the Spring, 2002. CES's project manager worked closely with the client to ensure properly trained, skilled craftsman were provided to operate the machining, welding, and post weld heat treating (PWHT) equipment. The work was performed in a quality manner within schedule while always maintaining the proper emphasis on safety. In addition, CES demonstrated a high degree of professionalism during the project that was evident by their commitment to teamwork, outstanding ability to communicate and interface effectively with other site organizations, and overall "can-do" attitude.
